In this Business English lesson, I will tell you about the common jargons used in the corporate world. Jargons are words or expressions used by a group of people.
To be on the same page: Means to have the same understanding or thinking in a similar way.
Ballpark figure: Means an approximate number/ figure. Ballpark figures are commonly used by accountants, salespersons and other professionals to estimate of what the actual figure will be like.
Bandwidth: Means the desire to do something or the physical and mental limit of your working ability
Circle back: Means discussion later.
Face time: Means in person meeting.
Leverage: Means use something to maximum utility.
Phone tag: Means the process where you try to call someone and only get their answering machine.
Piggyback: Means a thought and give no credit for. Or steal an idea.
Per se: Means by itself. It is used when you want to point out to a particular thing on its own.
Seamless: Means no apparent gaps or spaces between one part and the next.
