- Adjectives describe nouns (things).
- My cat is quick.
- How is my cat? quick
- My cat eats quickly.
- How does my cat eat? Quickly.

- Add "LY" to the end of an adjective.
If the adjectives that end in "e" or "l", we add "ly"
special + ly = specially
terminal + ly = terminally
literal + ly = literally
nice + ly = nicely
polite + ly = politely
There are of course some exceptions:
true = truly
whole = wholly
due = duly
full = fully
